MCP & OAuth

Connect AI clients to Crawly through hosted MCP, API-key authentication, or Clerk OAuth.

Hosted MCP

The remote MCP transport exposes Crawly tools over HTTP. Authenticated clients use the approving account’s plan, credits, and limits.

Authentication modes

  • Keyless — restricted Scrape/Search tools with strict IP, concurrency, and daily limits
  • API key — Bearer ck_live_... for the account or organization
  • OAuth — Clerk consent and tokens for clients that support OAuth

Local stdio bridge
